Issac hopped over from St. Paul, MN to Chicago, IL for a change in scenery. He has recently crossed streams with C+A to join the world of DJing and to see where music can take him. Currently a scholar at DePaul University, Issac also strives to be a better student of life. You can always find him at a low-key spot listening out for new sounds and digging through the old - to figure where past meets present. You will also see him working on his radio show, The Issac Hour, to provide the truth and spread good vibes in the only way he knows: Music. Music. Music.
What are your five favorite songs on the C+A 80% List?
  • "Summertime" - Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
  • "Big Poppa" - The Notorious B.I.G.
  • "Ignition (Remix)" - R. Kelly
  • "Return of the Mack" - Mark Morrison
  • "Rock With You" - Michael Jackson

What three genres of music have inspired you?
  • Hip-Hop: Because it has always been in my life and I thank my cousin for that. I learn so much through the words and rhythms in hip-hop.
  • Jazz: Because there is so much feeling and emotion in the instruments. Only those notes and chords can really get me to smile or cry - and I thank it for that.
  • Death/Black Metal: I realized these bands used chords with Flamenco roots. I looked into it, and it turns out it is a Latin style of jazz, amongst other variations. Discovering this took me full circle and got me understanding music history.
