+ Will you be willing to play requests and discuss music ahead of time?

C & A Productions realizes that everyone has a special relationship with music. There are a wide variety of reasons why songs can be important to an individual or couple. Every event we book comes with a MUST PLAY, DO NOT PLAY, and GENERAL LIKES list to fill out. We also understand that preparation is the number one key to our success. We will be available to discuss all options when we are customizing your event. And since we bring such a large on-site song catalog, we can effectively take requests from your guests.

---------------------------------------------------------------
+ Do you provide a written contract?

We have individualized and straightforward contracts that we give to you in your initial consultation meeting. You will be mailed a copy of the contract after it is signed and sent in. You will also be given receipts for deposits and balances.

+ Does the Disc Jockey know the proper etiquette for your
   type of party?

Our Disc Jockeys are very professional in their actions and their attire. They are also knowledgeable about crowds and will adjust their playlist appropriately. We fully understand our responsibility as your deejay company.

---------------------------------------------------------------
+ How much time do you allow for set-up?

We can get our equipment set up in one hour. However, we arrange to be at the venue two hours early (for no additional cost) just to be safe. Often times we use the extra hour to properly equalize the room for the best sound. Whether or not we can get into the venue two hours early is up to the discretion of the location.

---------------------------------------------------------------
+ Will you be suitably dressed for our occasion?

Our deejay staff typically wears the same formal clothing as your guests (black suit or dress). In rare occasions, if the venue demands it, we will wear tuxedos. However, due to the fact that a tuxedo has become deejay cliché, we feel this attire does not reflect the overall style and personality of our company. If it is very important to you that your deejay wears a tuxedo, we may not be the right company for your event.

---------------------------------------------------------------
+ Will your company put the proper planning into our event?

We do not just meet with our clients and discuss playlists and schedules. We try to create meaning from the music list with which we are provided. Think Pandora radio for your wedding. Our deejays spend hours finding songs that fit your style. We can create a list of 50 or more songs by different artists from one of your requests. We take our knowledge of song structure, influence, genre, etc. and put together a group of recognizable, danceable songs that are sure to be a hit when you are with your guests. Because we have such a deep passion for music, our crew can easily create an entire evening of music that you and your guests will love based on your advice.

Other Items to Note from the American Disc Jockey Association.

+ Disc Jockey rates vary based on talent, experience, emcee ability, service, coordination, equipment needed, music knowledge, mixing ability and personality.

+ Rates for the DJ industry vary greatly, ranging from $350.00 to over $5,000.00 with an average of $1,200.00 for a 4 hour booking. The best price is not always the best deal, especially if you are planning a wedding. As a matter of fact, surveys conclude that nearly 100% of brides would have spent more money on their entertainment and made it a much higher priority in hindsight.

+ A full-service disc jockey company will normally invest 12 to 30 hours to your special event but it may appear that you are only paying for "4 hours". Consultations, music purchasing & editing, preparation, set-up and tear-down, education and other business related endeavors add up to the overall success of your special occasion.
